The Classics
Ancient Greek and Roman cultures are two subjects that I am absolutely fascinated by, despite my knowledge of both being nothing special. ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Edward Hopper
1882 - 1967

These are the works of Vasily Polenov, a Realist painter and a member of Peredvizhniki (or The Wanderers), who were a group of Russian artists known for their traveling exhibitions. Polenov also painted as a war artist in the Russo-Turkish war between 1877 and 1878. He painted natural landscapes and classical manmade structures.
