Self Portrait at the Dressing Table by Zinaida Serebriakova, 1909. I love Serebriakova’s knowing look towards the viewer .. or technically to herself in the mirror! She uses white to highlight her skin, the candle on the left and the iridescent pearls, both on her necklace and on the end of her hair pins.
