Sledgehammers by Sybil Andrews, 1933

Andrews is an artist I have only recently become familiar with. The modernist style of her linocuts such as Sledgehammers have definite elements of Futurist aesthetics in their compositions, though with more rounded edges and lighter colour palettes.
