Eroded Landscape by Tony Cragg, 1987. I’m not sure why, but I find some of Cragg’s work really quite appealing. I think here, it is purely visual reasonings; I like the complex layering and the balance of shapes in the glasses and vessels. Cragg also plays with the rules of light concerning transparency, translucency and opacity. I saw this piece last year, though I can’t remember at which gallery it was. Possibly Tate Britain?
