Fish Sale on a Cornish Beach by Stanhope Forbes, 1885. This painting is renowned for introducing the Nelwyn School of art, (of which Forbes was a prominent member), to the masses and securing its place in artistic history. I find this painting to be extremely beautiful, despite the abundance of dead fish! I think its the dull grey colour scheme and the watery sheen across the sand beach.
