Self Portrait by Thomas Eakins, 1904. Eakins was an American Realist painter who specialised in portraits and landscapes, and his most famous piece is probably the slightly disturbing study of The Gross Clinic, (it is a bit nasty, but a fantastic image all the same and well worth checking out!)
